Meet Michelle Druitt
Founder & CEO of Au-Some Families
The Parent Advocate
As a loving parent herself, Michelle understands the unique challenges that come with raising a child with autism. Her journey as a Parent Advocate began when her son was diagnosed in 1999. She has been known to say "Advocacy found me".
She is dedicated to making sure that every child who has special needs is able to thrive, and have the same opportunity as neurotypical individuals have. Autistics and those in the Special Needs Community want to have the opportunity to socialize, and build healthy relationships, however, making friends and being "social" can challenging. Michelle has spent countless hours over the past twenty years advocating for policies that support the Special Needs Community, autism in particular. Her tireless efforts have made her a respected voice, sought after by parenrs, caregivers, and professionals alike.
An Entrepreneur at Heart
Michelle is not just an Advocate. She's a visionary. Her spirit, her youngest son, and her dedication to her community led her to create Ausome Families, which is a platform that goes beyond traditional advocacy. She saw the need for a space where families could access valuable resources, connect with others, bring about acceptance, and awareness. Ausome Families will provide Special Needs Individuals and their families with adventures, and the opportunity to take meaningful journeys, and create amazing memories.

Under Michelle's leadership, Ausome Families has grown into a thriving hub that empowers families to navigate the complex world of autism with confidence, and grace. Her innovative approach has transformed challenges into opportunities for countless families. Her commitment is at the heart of the organization's success.
